Nationwide, EPA has required all cities to provide them with an inventory of all customers water system service line material.
Should your dwelling fall into the category of Lead, Galvanized, or unknown lines, cities are required to notify their customers. Starting on Friday 11/08/2024 notification will be distributed via door hangars. This is informational ONLY; no action is needed at this time. No notification is required if the entire service line is non-lead (e.g., copper or plastic).
EPA’s Lead and Copper Rule Revisions (LCRR) and Improvements (LCRI) require water systems (City of Clarion) to distribute notifications to water system customers with service lines identified as lead, galvanized requiring replacement (GRR), or unknown (but could be lead) in their service line inventory.

Should your service line fall into the category of unknown you can contact Clarion Water Department and schedule an appointment time to help determine the material of said line.
