Ordinance 620 amending Chapter 52 - Grass and Weeds
ORDINANCE NO. 620
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE
CITY OF CLARION, IOWA, 2022, BY AMENDING CHAPTER 52: GRASS AND
WEEDS
BE IT ENACTED by the City Council of the City of Clarion, Iowa:
SECTION 1. SECTION MODIFIED. Chapter 52: Grass and Weeds of the Code
of Ordinances of the City of Clarion, Iowa, 2022, more specifically Section 52.07, is hereby
repealed in part and the following adopted in lieu thereof:
52.07. MOWING IN THE STREET
No property owner shall cut, mow, or deposit in any fashion any grass, weeds, brush,
or leaves upon a City street. Property owners found to be in violation of this section shall be
fined for each occurrence in a mowing year, in an amount as time to time fixed by the Council
by resolution.
SECTION 2. REPEALER. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the
provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. SEVERABILITY CLAUSE. If any section, provision or part of this
ordinance shall be adjudged invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall not affect the
validity of the ordinance as a whole or any section, provision or part thereof not adjudged
invalid or unconstitutional.
SECTION 4. WHEN EFFECTIVE. This ordinance shall be in effect after its final
passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
